1. Agreement
By accessing or using WeatherToRide, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. WeatherToRide is currently operated in the United States by its individual founder and owner.
2. Service availability
WeatherToRide is an evolving app. Features may be incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, or changed without notice. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue capabilities as we improve the product.
3. Decision support—not a safety guarantee
WeatherToRide summarizes forecast, route, traffic, preference, and related information to support your personal decision. It does not certify that a route, vehicle, condition, or ride is safe. You remain solely responsible for checking current conditions, maintaining your vehicle, wearing appropriate protective equipment, following laws, and deciding whether and how to travel.
Never rely on WeatherToRide instead of official emergency alerts, law-enforcement instructions, posted road closures, your direct observations, or your own judgment. Do not interact with the app while operating a vehicle.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the service for personal, lawful purposes. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass access controls or provider limits, scrape or resell service data, reverse engineer protected portions except where law permits, upload malicious material, impersonate another person, or use the service in a way that violates law or another party’s rights.
5. Third-party services and data
Weather, maps, routes, traffic, places, alerts, and distribution may depend on third parties. Their data can be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable. Third-party terms may also apply when you use their services or follow their links. WeatherToRide does not control those services.
6. Intellectual property
The WeatherToRide name, site and app design, software, original copy, and other original materials are owned by the WeatherToRide operator or used with permission. These Terms grant a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service for its intended personal purpose; they do not transfer ownership.
7. Feedback
If you submit feedback or feature ideas, you give us permission to use them without restriction or compensation to improve, market, and develop WeatherToRide. You retain ownership of any material you already owned.
8. No warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the service will prevent injury, delay, loss, or exposure to weather.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeatherToRide and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost data, profits, or opportunities; or injury, property damage, travel disruption, or other loss arising from reliance on the service or inability to use it.
10. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by applicable United States law and the law of the operator’s home state, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. We may update these Terms as the app develops. Continued use after an updated effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
