Built from a rider's real problem

More time riding. Fewer weather regrets.

WeatherToRide began with a simple frustration: a normal forecast could tell me the weather, but it could not tell me whether taking the motorcycle made sense for the trip I was actually making.

The story

I knew I had checked the forecast. I was still getting caught out.

I was tired of leaving on the bike after checking the weather and discovering that I had missed the one thing that mattered—a storm on the return trip, stronger wind along the route, or a temperature drop after dark.

I was just as tired of taking the car, watching the day turn out beautiful, and knowing the bike could have made the commute the best part of the day. Too often it stayed in the garage because the available information did not answer the real question with enough confidence.

There had to be a better way to combine the route, timing, return trip, traffic, weather severity, and the realities of riding gear. Nothing I found did all of that clearly. Someone had to build it, and it might as well be me.

What guides the product

Useful before impressive.

Every feature should make the decision clearer, the preparation better, or the ride more predictable.

Analyze the real trip

Where you will be and when matters more than a broad forecast for a city.

Explain every decision

Scores should be traceable to real conditions—not a mysterious black box.

Respect the rider

Comfort is personal, conditions change, and the rider always makes the final call.
