Forecasts and route data have limits

Forecasts can change rapidly and may not capture highly localized weather. Radar, alerts, traffic, road closures, surface conditions, business information, route geometry, and estimated travel times can be delayed, missing, inferred, or incorrect. Conditions observed on the road may differ from what the app displays.

Official information takes precedence

Always follow emergency alerts, evacuation notices, road closures, traffic controls, law-enforcement directions, posted warnings, and applicable law. Check authoritative sources when severe weather, flooding, ice, fire, high wind, or another significant hazard is possible.

Your responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain your vehicle and required safety equipment.
• Use appropriate protective gear and prepare for changing conditions.
• Evaluate your skill, health, fatigue, comfort, and vehicle capability.
• Watch for hazards the service cannot know, including debris, oil, gravel, potholes, animals, standing water, and sudden driver behavior.
• Do not view, enter information into, or otherwise interact with WeatherToRide while operating a vehicle.

Ongoing improvements

The app may have errors, interruptions, or incomplete coverage as it evolves. If it conflicts with direct observation or an official source, disregard the app.
